Giros Plates Small (Short Spits)
Gyro plates used to secure the meat on the spit are essential components when you are planning to cook gyros, on horizontal short spits. These plates play a crucial role in holding the gyro meat in place as it rotates, ensuring even cooking and consistent results. Here's more information about gyro plates for securing meat on the spit:
1. Functionality: Our Gyros plates are circular metal plates that secure the gyro meat onto the spit. They hold the meat firmly in position, preventing it from sliding or falling off during the cooking process. They can be only in flat plate design due to the short distance of the short spits that we supply for our multi-gear BBQs.
2. Material: These plates are made from durable and heat-resistant materials such as stainless steel which is available from 1 or 2 mm thick for the short spits. This material ensure that the plates can withstand the high temperatures generated during cooking and maintain their structural integrity over time.
When the gyros plates are used on the short spits, the ‘’working time’’ of them on the charcoals is decreased almost 70% than the long spits due to the amount of meat allowed to be on a short spit at a time(approximately 2 to 3kg each spit). In other words, when cooking gyros in the short spits the time that it requires to cook the meat is quicker than the long spits.
3. Design: Gyro plates is normally flat and the collar is made to fit the 8x8 mm thick square short spit. To keep the gyros plate in place once it passed on the spit, simply tied the wing bolt strong enough and make sure it doesn’t move.
4. Stability: The gyro plates are engineered to provide stability and balance to the gyro meat as it rotates on the spit. This ensures even cooking and prevents the meat from shifting or wobbling during the cooking process. Especially for the short spits we suggest to not over load the short spits with meat because this will cause to slide the meat from the spit.
5. Ease of Use: Gyro plates are easy to install and remove from the spit, allowing for quick and efficient setup and cleanup. They are designed to be user-friendly, making them suitable for everyone.
6. Maintenance: Gyro plates are relatively easy to clean and maintain. They can be washed by hand or in the dishwashers using mild detergents. Proper care and maintenance of the plates ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Overall, use gyro plates for securing meat on the spit are essential components of gyro making process, ensuring reliable and consistent results in preparing gyro meat for sandwiches, platters, and other dishes.
